Otter Lodge
Otter Lodge is tucked in to the valley, perched on the riverbank looking straight down on to the beautiful River Fowey. Many of our guests book this Bodmin holiday lodge year after year, looking on it as a home from home.
The lodge provides the perfect place to switch off and recharge your batteries. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the patio and watch the nuthatches and bluetits arriving for peanuts on the bird feeder. Sit quietly after sunset on your private lawn and wonder at the brightness of the stars where there’s no light pollution. Lie in a comfortable Hypnos bed listening to the sound of the river flowing a few feet away from the lodge and the owls heading out on patrol. The open-plan accommodation provides a great social area for family, holidays with friends or couples seeking space and a little luxury.
What our guests say about Otter:
“A secret hideaway in Central Cornwall. Home from home. SO clean. Very spacious. Our own garden and patio. Set in a beautiful old woodland valley with wildflowers everywhere. Brilliant for couples and families. Plenty of places to visit nearby if you wish.”
Owl Lodge
Owl Lodge is set apart from our other properties on a south-facing hillside with woods and a paddock behind it and the beautiful Glynn Valley in front. From the moment you arrive at your Bodmin holiday lodge, pulling onto your own private driveway and taking in the views, you’ll be starting to unwind. From your kitchen window, you can watch the buzzards circling on the afternoon thermals. As you lie in bed, you can listen for the owls calling out to each other through the darkness. At breakfast, you can sit on the south-facing balcony as you sip your coffee, catching glimpses of the River Fowey through the trees, and watching the wildlife below you in the valley. This Bodmin holiday lodge is great for couples wanting the luxury of extra space, for multi-generational families or for friends celebrating special occasions together.
What our guests say about Owl:
“Just back from a week staying in Owl Lodge. The lodge was very comfortable and of a very high standard with everything we needed. Loved the welcome box! Beautiful place to spend our holiday; enjoyed fishing, walking round the grounds, the wildlife and generally relaxing without even leaving Rivermead. The views are stunning. We were made to feel extremely welcome.”
