Important Information Before Booking!

Our current changeover day is Saturday with a minimum stay of 7 nights during peak times, but shorter stays are available upon request at certain times of the year so just give us a call or email us and we’ll be happy to try and work around you if we can. It’s worthwhile also noting that our current plan is to amend our changeover date to Friday this September, but we will confirm closer to the time!

All the kitchens in our self-catering properties are very well-equipped. If you’d like a full list of what’s provided before you visit, let us know and we will email you a copy of the inventory for your chosen property.

We have an arrangement with a lovely lady called Suzanne to offer you a laundry service on stays of 7 nights or more. For a very reasonable charge, she will collect your laundry and return it to you washed and folded.

Free parking is available close to all our properties.

We do not accept pets in any of our cottage rentals.

We have a fire pit in the grounds and guests are welcome to forage the grounds for kindling and wood to burn on it. We can point you in the right direction if you let us know you’d like to do this.

Before your holiday begins, we will send you a copy of our Welcome Folder by email. It contains some valuable information about your stay at Rivermead as well as some ideas about places you might like to visit while you’re here. There’ll be a printed copy in your property, and we’re always on hand to answer any questions you may have, but it may be useful for you to read it in advance.

We have a vast array of board games, books and jigsaw puzzles stored in the Rod Room and available for your use during your stay. If you’d like any outdoor games, such as Jenga, croquet or Swingball, just ask us and we’ll happily get them out for you.
