A lovely, two-bedroom ground floor cottage which feels like home from the moment you step inside. If you’re looking for cottage rental that provides a comfortable place to stay and relax with family or friends, or to use as a handy base for exploring Cornwall, Bluebell Cottage is perfect for you. It’s a self-contained cottage which sleeps up to four guests on the ground floor of our converted Cornish stone barn.

A wonderful place for us all to relax. Rivermead really is a beautiful place and Bluebell was very clean and comfortable. Everything is neat and tidy and all you could need is in the cottage. There are lovely grounds to explore and very friendly and welcoming hosts. The kids had a great time exploring and we enjoyed the lovely welcome pack including a delicious cream tea and treats for the children.

The Ground Floor
The accommodation is mostly on one level, with just a small step up to the lounge and one up to the kitchen. There’s a seating area right outside where guests like to sit and have breakfast in the morning sunshine. There’s plenty of room to drop off your luggage and you can park right outside without having to walk far. Just inside the door is a great space for hanging coats – or sunhats and beach towels – and leaving bags and shoes. To the left of the front door, you’ll find a comfortable, pretty sitting room with views across to the lawn and boules court. It has two sofas, a TV with Freeview, and a dining area with seating for four people to sit around the table.

The kitchen is well-equipped with the crockery, glassware, cutlery, and utensils you may need for a self-catering stay. You’ll find a kitchen starter pack with washing-up liquid, sponge, J-cloth, kitchen towels, tea towels and oven gloves; although who wants to cook on holiday with so many wonderful places to eat on your doorstep? Everything you’d expect to find in the kitchen is there – electric oven and hob, fridge with icebox, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere – and some things extra, including a Cornish cream tea. We provide additional freezer space for you should you need it during the summer months. There’s also free Superfast BT guest broadband across the site.
